We moved house in August and are still sorting through many things but my music and sound system is beginning to settle down. The end-of-2007 setup includes: Logic 8, Metasynth 4 Pro, Ableton Live 6, gleetchlab 2.3, Reason 4, ixiQuarks and various plug-ins and editors. My newest sound projects include a remix/mashup of Karl Bartos’ ‘Esperanto’ album tracks for his forthcoming virtual exhibition, and new Lagowski and S.E.T.I. tracks. Hoping to digitise some very old Nagamatzu cassettes and VHS video for the new year….should be fun! In the meantime, Mrs Lags and I will be enjoying the new TGV box set and CARTERTUTTI album

Nagamatzu & other news
January 18, 2006Interest in Nagamatzu (my first electronic-influenced band) seems to be alive in the USA. Even though I formed this band with Stephen Jarvis and Andrew Fleck in 1982, there are people out there that trade our old recordings as mp3s, cdrs and the like. Wonders will never cease.
I have a sizeable collection of early Nagamatzu recordings, including our first few gigs. There is also a scrapbook with gig listings and photo’s of us posing for the local newspaper in our strange garb and even stranger hair (“What, you had hair?” – the reader picks himself/herself off the floor).
If there’s any kind of demand for the material, of course I’ll make it available to all and sundry.
